Latin comparatives take 'to', never 'than'

A small group of comparative adjectives comes into English directly from Latin: senior, junior, superior, inferior, prior, anterior, posterior. These words already carry comparison inside them, so they are never followed by 'than'. They take the preposition 'to' instead. 'He is senior to me' is correct; 'He is senior than me' is wrong.
